Creatures of the Gaelic Mythology
The Albion -Celtic
The Celtic Albion is a deadly giant from the land of Britan. He lived in what used to be Albinon (which is now Britan), with his two other brothers, Gog and Magog. The three brothers ruled Britan with an entire nation of giants. These Giants were belived to be some of their only kind who surived the flood that contributed to Noahs Ark.
The Banshee
The Banshee is a dark mythical creature who takes on the being of an old, elder woman with long, slick, yellow or golden hair who is combing her hair. Her eyes are red from all her weeping. When seen, she is known to put a dark omen of death upon you. She is known to be a washer woman wearing a dark, black cloak, or the "robe of the dead". Her cry is knwon to be so horrible that it has the capability to shatter glass.
The Ce Sith
The Ce Sith is an extremely powerful dog from a Galeic Folklore. It is known to be as big as a two year old cow, with long green fur, and paws as big as human hands. The purpose of this dog was to hunt humans. If you were to hear the bark of this dog, it was advised that you run home or take shelter as fast as possible. If you were to hear the dog bark 3 times, then it was certain that you were going to be killed.
Dobie
Dobies were known to be a friendly type of household fairy. Dobie would do housework such as cleaning and guarding treasure. It was known to be extremely clumsy and make many not very wise mistakes. It wqs often found near bridges, farm houses, and towers.
Each Uisge
The Each Uisge is known to be a very beautiful horse who gives of a friendly impression, but it is really known to be a deadly animal that lives in the sea. It will give an impression to yiou that would make sure that you trust it, then when you get on its back it will take you to the botten of the sea where it lives and later devour you.
Fari
Aine, also known as Aine Marina or Aine of Knockaine, was a fairy queen of Munster. She encouraged love and was the goddess of fertility, meaning she had control over the animals and crops.
Giantess of Loch Ness
The Loch Ness (commonly known as the Loch Ness Monster, or Nessie) is thought to be a desendent from a previous Giant who fell in the lake. It's behavior is known to be haunting.
Henkies
The Henkies are believed to be trolls who walk around the Orkney Islands with lanterns in their hands. Their apprence is haunting
Ysbadaden Pencawr
The Ysbadaden Pencawr, also known as Isbaddaden, is a Celtic Giant that is one of the biggest in all of the mythology. He is believed to be so big that he needed to use pitch forks to keep his eyelids open.
Merrow
The Merrow is a merman, half fish/half man. They have a special re cap that they must wear to be able to live in the ocean. If a merrow is on land a human steals or takes off its red cap, the human and merman must get married. Merman are often diguised as cattle on the land, looking for humans to fall in love with.
Nabon
One day to celebrate his entry into knighthood, he hosted a great party in his valley on the island where he was joined by many great knights. Of King Arthur’s knights there came Sir Tristram, Sir Segwarides and Sir Lamorak. He was killed by the Cornish hero Tristan or Tristram. Sir Lamorak took to the competition and beat many of his opponents gaining great fame at the event. Nabon had never seen a man so skilled at jousting that he complemented the man and asked if they could joust. Sir Lamorak took up the challenge and the two charged at each other with great eagerness. Sir Lamorak aimed true, but Nabon thrusted his lance into Sir Lamorak’s horse first. The horse died instantly, tumbled and Sir Lamorak fell off beaten and bruised Nabon got off his horse and drew a sword to kill Sir Lamorak. Sir Lamorak drew his sword and shield but took a few steps back, as he was exhausted and wounded from the fall. Nabon took him to the ground and before he killed the man,Sir Tristram intervened and challenged Nabon to a duel
on foot knowing that he could not beat Nabon in a joust. Nabon took up the challenged and the two exchanged many blows. They fought long without rest. Nabon asked the man for his name. Tristram replied that he was Sir Tristram of Cornwall a great knight of King Arthur. Tristram slew Nabon and the crowd favored him. He tried to give the new claimed island to Lamorak but Lamorak
declined saying that Tristram was the real hero here. Since both declined,
Tristram offered the island to Sir Segwarides who becoming Lord of Servage, set
the prisoners free and governed the land in a fair and just way
