They had many sacrifices were made to provide a "communal link" to the
supernatural world. An example of one of the sacrifices would be Bull Feast,
also known as Tarbhfhess in the Gaelic Language. A man would sacrifice a tarbh (bull) and drink the blood. Later that night, wheb he dreaming, he would dream of the man who is the new king of their land. By doing this, it showed the approval the Gods in choosing the rightful king.

The Imbolc Festival
This Festival takes place every year on Febuary 1st to honor "the lactation of ewes." This festival was celebrated by girls. The girls of the village would make a “Bride doll” out of straw, symbolizing the Goddess Brighid (Irish) or Bride (Scottish), out of the last sheaf of the previous years grain harvest, which they would carry from house to house. The Bride or Brighid was a goddess who controlled the weather. During this festival, the girls would dance around the doll and later examine to see if she had left a footprint. If there was no footprint, an offering had to be made at a place where three streams had joined together. This offering would bring luck to the people.
Lughnasa Festival
This Festival is held the first of Lúnasa (August) to celebrate the changing of the seasons. Traditionally the Celtic/Gaelic people would gather have a big feast on this day.
Samhain Festival
The Samhain festival takes place on Novemner 1st starting at sundown. (the halloween celebration) This Festival is very important to the Irish Galeics because it is the cross over to thier New Year.
Beltaine Festival
The Beltaine Festival is held every year on May 1st. This celebrates moving cattle to higher pastures and beginning new projects. This festival starts April 30th at sundown because the Gaelic people start and end their days at sun down. At nightfall, they creat a huge fire on top of the hill and dance around it in celebration. Next to Halloween, This is the second favroite holiday to the people of this culture.
